Age-Friendly Communities of the Lower Kennebec (AFCLK)
PHOTO CONTEST
Competition Criteria

Photos will be judged in part based on how well they depict older adults as engaged in activities they cherish. Extra points will be assigned photos depicting intergenerational interactions.

Photos must be entered into specific categories (i.e. adult professional, adult amateur, teen/young adult (ages 13-19), youth (ages 6-12))

Contest judges may reject any submission for any reason, including due to obscene, provocative, or offensive content.
Submissions

Submissions will be accepted May 1 through September 28 at 5pm.
- Judging will be in Oct./Nov.
- Please read all Terms & Conditions prior to submitting your entry.
- A signed model release form must be completed for each person in each photo.
Eligibility

Contest is open to all photographers, professional* and amateur, of all ages.

Contestants under 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to enter.

*For the purposes of this competition, a professional photographer is someone whose primary source of income has come from photography within the past two years.

By entering this contest and participating, the Contestant agrees to be fully and unconditionally bound by the Contest Terms and Conditions set forth herein. Contestant represents and warrants that he, she, they meets the eligibility requirements of the contest.
Terms & Conditions

All photos must be original, recent work of the Contestant.

Photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in any way, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame. Photos may be cropped or changed from color to black & white.

Submitted photos shall be in JPG format with a maximum of 2000 pixels on the longest side and a file size of no greater than 10MB. Photos taken using film must be put into digital format.

Photos must not have been altered, compressed, or manipulated in any way.

By entering the contest, photographer grants to Age-Friendly Communities of the Lower Kennebec a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide right and license to use photographs and hereby waives any claims for any further compensation, notice, review or consent.

Photo credit will be given to the photographer.
How to Enter

Submit one (1) photograph via Google Forms with a subject of at least one person aged 50+ who lives, works or summers in one of the six AFCLK communities (Bath, West Bath, Arrowsic, Georgetown, Phippsburg, Woolwich).

Contestants may complete multiple submissions up to a maximum of two (2) submissions.

Submissions will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest Google Forms. Submissions not submitted through the proper channel will be deleted. If you are unable to submit your photography online, please contact AFCLK at agefriendlylowerkennebec@gmail.com to discuss your individual requirements.
