April 2024: Our first ever regional meeting with attendees from all six communities.

Age-Friendly Communities of the Lower Kennebec (AFCLK) is a regional grassroots volunteer coalition in Maine's mid coast serving the residents of Arrowsic, Bath, Georgetown, Phippsburg, West Bath and Woolwich.

Together we believe we can make our communities on the Lower Kennebec River more livable for a lifetime, a place where people of all ages can thrive and age gracefully, where
everyone is respected, everyone is included and everyone belongs.

1000 responses to a region-wide survey and community listening sessions informed our Action Plan with a focus on homes, mobility, social connections, and communications.

.

An age-friendly region is health promoting and designed for diversity, inclusion, and cohesion, including across all ages and capacities. Our activities are part of a worldwide movement in a network of lifelong, age-friendly communities.
